So, Kaidan didn't believe food could be exciting, and Miguel was out to prove him wrong.

Given his roommates, at least the meal should be interesting.

He'd made empanadas, chicken mole enchiladas, nopales, apple pie, and horchata.

It was maybe a bit of a mishmash, but damn it, he was going for exciting!

...maybe Mitsutada would add some sushi to the mix or something. Who knew?

Hey, Liam was always up for eating other people's cooking. Because it meant he didn't have to go out or order takeout.

"Quite the spread," he commented, looking impressed.

Miguel grinned. "Thanks. I met this guy who doesn't think food can be exciting, so I'm out to prove him wrong. Made enough for everyone, though."

“That’s good, because otherwise I would just have to hang around looking all sad about my lack of dinner,” Liam teased.

"Nah, I wouldn't do that," Miguel assured him. "By the way, I'd apologize for not knowing I'd been here before last week, but." He shrugged. The island was what it was.

“It’s not a big deal,” Liam said with a shrug of his own. “The teenage version of me remembered being here as a little kid. Maybe there’s some alternate reality where he never left, and ended up growing up here or something.” Not quite the truth, but close enough.

"Huh. Wonder why you did and I didn't?" The answer was probably 'Fandom'.

"Fandom?" Liam said with a shrug. "Seems to play pretty fast and loose with any sort of rules."
